S11 measurements are missing

Problem environment

Antenna resonance is tuned for subgigaherz frequencies, and calibration benefits from S11 resonance testing.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Use a vector network analyser (VNA)
  2. Test for resonance in anntenae
  3. Measure S11 vector parameters

Expected result

The antenna chosen should be well calibrated according to S-parameters.

Actual result

S-parameters are unknown and measurement is missing.

Severity level

This is low priority because project requirements do not include antenna calibration.

This S11 reflection diagram illustrates current work on 0.9.2 after hacking a pi network onto the bare antenna feed line, which seems to indicate that the Johanson chip model datasheet estimation is close enough to implement.

The applications engineering department at the manufacturer is informed of a request for information to further tune the Sendcomm AE2 circuit. Referring to the online manufacturer tuning guidelines has been somewhat helpful.
